ABOUT EXAMS
Exams at The Dance Studio aren't as daunting as they sound!
Our in house exams give students the opportunity to show off their best performance and technique to a specialised industry professional. Whilst not compulsory, our exams can provide students with a goal and a little extra motivation along with personal feedback to help you improve. We recommend signing up and giving it a go!
UNIFORM
REQUIREMENTS
ACRO
Girls- Black sleeveless leotard, TDS leggings
Boys- White TDS t-shirt, black shorts
Hair must be tied back in a bun
BALLET
Girls- Black sleeveless leotard, ballet socks or tights, pink leather ballet shoes (ribbons from grade 5)
Boys- White TDS t-shirt, black tights, black leather ballet shoes
Hair must be tied back in a bun
CONTEMPORARY
Girls (Intro-Level 3)- TDS racer back singlet, TDS leggings
Girls (Level 4-6)- TDS t-shirt, full length TDS leggings
Boys (all grades)- White TDS t-shirt, and TDS track pants
Hair must be tied up and off the face
HIP HOP
White TDS t-shirt, TDS leggings, track pants or shorts
Hair must be tied up and off the face
JAZZ
Girls- TDS racer back singlet, TDS leggings, black jazz shoes
Boys- White TDS t-shirt, TDS track pants, black jazz shoes
Hair must be tied up and off the face
TAP
Girls- White TDS t-shirt, TDS leggings, black tap shoes
Boys- White TDS t-shirt, TDS track pants, black tap shoes

SKIP & TWIRL
STOMP & GROOVE
Any clothing suitable for dancing (no long dresses) with bare feet or suitable dance shoes
