Simon Watts

Teacher Tap and Hip Hop, Choreographer - Xclusive Crew

Simon has had considerable experience in Dance has studied multiple Dance forms and passed major examinations in Tap and jazz and is one of only two tap dancers to ever win both the Noel Burnett Tap Award (2008) and NZ young Performer Of The Year for Tap (2010).  He has twice been nominated for TEMPO awards and in 2009 won the award for Best Male Performer.

As a duo he was runner up on Prime TV’s NZS Got Talent and has been in demand as an entertainer since, also travelling to perform in Europe with a group of selected Tap Dancers for the show Tap Reloaded.

As an original member of TMC Dance crew, he has twice represented NZ at World Hip Hop Champs and now manages and choreographs for the junior crew XCLUSIV which last year represented NZ at Battlegrounds (Melbourne).

Simon is also a choreographer and dancer for Soul Of Siren Productions and also regularly performs with Prestige Dance Crew and he teachers Tap and Hip Hop in the private sector.

Simon is also a talented musician and DJ and has a Diploma in Sound Engineering.
